NEW VOLUNTEERS
ABINADAB: Abinadab is from Mexico and is planning to serve with Toronto YU/YFC for one year. Please pray over the details of this placement, including his visa and raising the financial support required.
STEPHANIE: Stephanie has just come on board as our newest ENGAGE international volunteer! She is from Manitoba, and is planning to serve with YFC Costa Rica for one year starting in January.
TBD: We are now recruiting NEW volunteers! Do you know someone between 18-28 who would be interested in volunteering with a YFC ministry internationally? Send them to yfcengage.org to learn more!
NEW RESOURCES
WEBSITE: We just launched our new ENGAGE website a few weeks ago, check it out if you haven’t already! yfcengage.org
TRAINING MATERIALS: When I started as the ENGAGE Program Coordinator, one of the first things I did was update and reassemble the training manual that we use with our volunteers. Now, after it has been tested “in the field”, there are some tweaks and additions to be made. One of the biggest additions is more intentionally including discussions with our volunteers around how to do ministry that is culturally sensitive and locally empowering. (Want to learn more about these topics yourself? I recommend the books “Toxic Charity” and “When Helping Hurts”.
NEW PARTNERS
There are so many exciting things happening right now with the ministry of ENGAGE. It has been my goal for a while to start working full-time in this position, and to make that happen I am looking for some new partners.
Are you excited about what God is doing in this ministry? Do you want to make an investment in the lives of young people around the world?
I would love to talk with you about what that could look like.
I am currently looking for 10 additional partners:
2 at $100/month, 2 at $75/month, 2 at $50/month, 2 at $25/month, and 2 at $10/month. Is one of those you?
